First time visiting Hanging Rock State Park and it was a wonderful hike to see the view off the rock. We got there at 10 am and it was much more crowded by 1 pm on a weekday. We did the hanging rock trail which was 2.3 miles and even though it was marked moderate, it was a tough in some spots climbing Beginning on October 5, 2020, the visitor center at Hanging Rock State Park will be closed due to construction. The closure is expected to last several months until at least spring of 2021.
